When buying a compressor, the more CFM the better!

Don't get a cheap shitty gun, but you dont have to get the most expensive gun either.

When buying a spray gun, Take into consideration what type of paint you will be using, so that you can get the right mm tip. Although you can change the size of the tip to suit your application.

Materials:

Well all this depends if you want to do 2 pac paint, metallic or acrylic paint.

Things you will need:

Wet & Dry sand paper; Again this all depends on if you want a show car finish or not. Remember that paint a car is all in the prep work.
240 grit
320 grit
400 grit

Primer, Even tho its in primer. Get just a litre or 2.
Paint: Colour of choice
Clear coat
Sanding Block
Decent paint mask
Masking tape
Newspapers
Thiners/Hardener for 2 pac (If using, also need hardener for paint)
Hi filler
Mixing measuring cup

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head! Razz

You will need a good eye and attention to detail. You will have to have a good feel aswell.

Just remember, Rule of thumb: Its all in the prep work!
