Hey fellas. Heres my car. Specs are below

Engine: RB30E, 3 Litre
Exhaust: 2 1/2 inch redback mendrel bent exhaust from the cat back wit lukey extractors
Diff: Stock
Brakes: Discs all round
Suspension: Stock. Thinking of dropping it 20-30mm
Transmission: New auto gearbox going in very soon
Wheels: Calais rims, in the process of polishing them up
Sound: 6" Pioneer speakers on the parcel shelf and a Pioneer head unit

Got this off my grandparents who had owned it for 15 years previously. So there was a fair bit I needed to fix
So far this is whats been replaced:
- Water Pump
- Alternator
- Brake master cylinder
- Starter motor
- Timing belt kit
- Drivers side power window

Also has a KnN panel filter, gates racing belts, plenty of interior neons and Bosch platinum plugs.. Im sure there is heaps more I just cant think of it right now

Future Mods:
- Need some paint and panel work done
- Boot install
- Install tow bar
- Soon to be a pimpin' red interior
- Whitewall inserts (flappers)
- Sunvisor


Currently the head is off getting reconditioned as the valves went recently.

2.5 inch mendrel redback exhaust thnks to Scotts Rods West Ipswich. They are awesome



Footwell lights. 2 of these up the front, 2 black lights overhead in the back and one on the dash that flashes to the music

Well I just bought a calais garnish to put on as mine cracked off a long time ago.

So now im waiting for the following in the mail:
- Set of mudflaps
- Blue dash conversion
- Headlight covers
- Garnish

Possibly thinking about getting some wethersheilds. I think they look alright. just the slimline ones

cruiser mate. Nothing new for a vl to be fast, so im going for a bit of a different look so i can cruise round happily in it

My overall 6 month plan is:

- Red calais interior
- Flappers/portawalls
- Sunvisor
- Lower it on lows or maybe superlows (only a little bit)
- Tidy the bay up
- Install the tow bar
- white venetians for the back and side
- Get pop ups to start going again
- Boot instal
- Finish polishing the calais rims
- General clean up of the car to its general calais awesome looks

Well having a VL is definitely NOT original so I want something that is different to everyone else's.

I know plenty won't like it but i think it will turn out alright.

the thing is though, it doesnt matter if other people like it or not as long as you like it. its your car so as long as you like it thats all that matters

Finaly got the head back today. looks tops, cant wait to have it back in the car





Also received my genuine mudflaps in the mail.

And just finished refurbishing the badges around the car

received a calais garnish in the mail, gonna polish it up and restore it. should look awesome when im done with it.

Well... I have lots and lots and lots to update haha

To start with, the engine is now back together and Im nearing the point where the engine is up and running.

New mods for the engine:
- Lukey High flow extractors
- Head acid dipped, cleaned, faced, valves replaced, crack tested, warp tested
- All engine/exhaust gaskets replaced

Visual mods:
- Rear external venetians (temporary to protect damage to the rear seats)
- Restored calais rear garnish (soon to be boot mould also)
- stock mudflaps with 'commodore' writing

Very close Plans:
- Blue LED dash conversion
- Voltage and engine temperature gauges mounted in centre dash or drivers side speaker vent
- 10mm oversized throttle body from a U12 pintara
- front sunvisor (needs to be striped back, primered and painted)
- Getting some 16 inch portawalls from America sent over soon

New throttle body. This is off a U12 pintara front wheel drive. Hard to find but a really good upgrade as it is a bolt-on unlike the xf throttle body and only cost $10





and a few little things that i have been tinkering with

got some blue LED parkers....



Began modifying the sunvisor, it is off a VS and is about 50mm too long, so needed to trim it and then paint it and fit it all up







The rear license plate light blew up, so replaced it with one from a VZ, had to modify rear bumper a little :rolleyes: the blue seems too illegal for me though, so white LED lighs have been ordered





and finally, the rear garnish i refurbished. looks amazing in person. Have 2 more to refurbish and then sell



car is booked in for the workshop on thursday. cant wait to get it fixed up and running smoothly
