hey guys, december 2009 i brought a hq 253 onetonner on gas
the condition was.. well, shit lol

il do some specs and then post some pictures when im on my computer


new engine: 308 stroked to 333, with a edelbrock manifold (cant rember all the interal details to it )
demon 750 carb, manualised turbo 350, LSD

Interior: trying to find a gts dash, (so difficult) so we will either have to custom make a dash or use a hz dash.
vs s-pac seats retrimmed in leather


tray: wooden tray

poision ivy green

we really got lucky with the chassis. it was compeltly rust free and in great condition...






























ok to save questions. yer we cut out this whole side of the car and replaced it with a pannel from a tunner at the wreckers!!
believe it or not the other side was fine lol.. looks like alot of dogy body work to me tho...

yeah theyre working now, must say, very nice! the hq 1 tonners have to be one of the best holden utes ever made. it has to be said that yours is a very nice example indeed! keep up the good work on it. i take it you cant drive it just yet due to the p plate laws though??

unless i apply for a v8 exemption but i dont know if itd work lol

Ive been lookin for a 1tonner for my best mate and we actually bought 1 today
HJ 1tonner Premier twin light front, GTS GUARDS,(FLUTED)twin fuel tanks,
Red 202 with SUPRA 5speed, rego and got it for $4000 Little rust in it very suprised

i want a twin front, their expensive to buy in good nick...

you should try to get an exemption. look into it mate, you may be able to find a way round it by claiming you need for it work or something

So we rolled the chassis out of hiding last week to find rain
And primer over spray has gotton to it..
I'll take photos of my new brakes and all the crap on it now

its all bolted together tail shaft is innnnnn
still sitting on stands but :p

new altinator is in
need a auto elec to wire it up
then we need to fit all interior
and get some seats and whatnot and yeah

Why dont you and your old man wire it up bloke?

Its not hard and will save you a shit load of cash. Them pricks charge a fortune to do f all lol

lol we will wire about 70% of it ourselfs...
but dad hates wires and all i can wire is sterios amps and speakers

i wouldnt have the first idea about fuse box's and all that crap haha
when i wire a new thing to my car i wire it straight to the battery with a inline fuse
i have like 6 wires coming off there hahaha

na we will put a wiring loom into the car and wire up what we can (engine, altinator, thermos, etc etc and ill do the sterio.. but the hard stuff like wiring the gauges and what not dad will get one of his mates to do it...

Oh yeah good good man. They still charge heaps lol...


Gauges arent hard to install either man...
